On pg. 9 the book is talking about how these boys jump off the same tree that the military trains people to jump out of airplanes... I think this is foreshadowing of at least one of these boys having to do this practice jump again and maybe a real jump out of an airplane. Also, on pg. 13 it talks about how Phineas won't wear p.j.'s because the military personel don't... I'm thinking he is going to be drated and perhaps killed in the war.

This is an excellent prediction because it's based on specific details from the text. We'll see if this comes to pass....

This is a good overview of the ideas in the chapter. You give a couple of specific details to support your conclusions. You could definitely take your ideas further. For instance, why might Finny not want anyone to know about his swimming record? Take a guess. Also, what details in the book make you think Gene is uncomfortable around Finny?

In Ch. 3 I think that when Finny saved Genes life it's forshadowing for later in the book. Because I think that in the end one of them will save each other again maybe in war. I also thought Blitzball was a cool sport, although Finny and Gene get really competetive. And, I'm a little confused about the Super Suicide Society. Overall though I think it's a good book so far.
